My Microscopy Pictures
Hiii! I honestly thought that it was kinda bs that I had biology in my tags, but then had barely any biology on my website so... I decided to finally put something. This is VERY temporary, and I plan to make a simplified desktop to view the pictures in the future. These are ALL taken by ME on my MICROSCOPY. Most of them were taken between 2024 and 2025 at 10x * 40 magnification. The first one is just my T-shirt, and I just thought it was really cool to see the individual threads. The second one and the one under it I forgot what I looked at (☍﹏⁰), but I still wanted to include them. The GIF and the rest of them are watered-down dirt from my potted plant! The little guys that are there are called (bdelloid) Rotifers (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rotifer (I don't know how to make just the word clickable)), and they are the first animals I saw under the microscope :D. Honestly, I was quite surprised when I first saw them, since I didn't expect to see any animals, let alone so many of them. Sorry if the GIF is too low quality, but it actually shows the rotifer moving its corona to suck food inside and also filtering it. What I also find interesting is that they have a foot with which they can grab onto debris and stabilise themselves.
